Motivation

Bridges affect travel time space more strongly than other infrastructure.

  • If I build a road, getting to a place becomes easier than driving through dirt (but I could get there before).
  • If I build a bridge, I essentially create a wormhole in travel time space. A place that was prohibitively far away yesterday is now just next door.
